Le Cisterne consists of 20 hectares of land situated at 1000 metres above the sea level. It stands among flourishing orchards and a beautiful oak and chestnut wood, just in the heart of the Etna park. Le Cisterne is the starting point for tourists who want to explore the suggestive green paths of volcano Etna and who want to meet the protected wildlife of the place: the Etna woodpeckers, foxes and wild rabbits. Ideal for romantic weekends, walks with the family and short trips to discover nature.
Le Cisterne keeps the same style of the ancient inns where it is possible to rest in meditation and taste the typical dishes of the sicilian cuisine, which are served in the suggestive atmosphere of the millstone.

The structure is an ancient mansion of the 19th century, that has been faithfully restored.
Guests are accomodated in 7 rooms and 4 furnished flats for a total of 29 beds.
The rooms are very comfortable and are furnished in "arte povera" style, all equipped with fridge bar, tv set and telephone.
The flats are formed of a bedroom and a living room with a cooking area.

The structure is about 15 km away from the well-known "Rifugio Sapienza", where you can arrange for trekking and excursions to the Etna.
